In-Stat study: devolo confirmed as global market leader in HomePlug technology

The US marketing research institute In-Stat confirmed again in a recent study that devolo is the global market leader in HomePlug technology. As such, the firm, based in Aachen, Germany, attained the largest market share in the HomePlug powerline segment again in 2008.

The powerline-specialist, devolo AG, has again been confirmed as the global market leader in HomePlug products. The recent study was carried out by In-Stat, a US marketing research firm. In-Stat indicated that the market has grown more than 50 percent in the last twelve months.
For the coming months, In-Stat foresees strong growth in business with service providers. In addition, In-Stat indicates that energy providers will be a driving force in future. "We are very pleased that our dedication to develop innovative HomePlug solutions has again contributed to our securing global market leadership," stated the CEO of devolo AG, Heiko Harbers. "We are well equipped to continue our expansion into the powerline market in 2009."
